Carlos Alcazar represents Sumitomo Corporation at Hidd Power Company (HPC), he has joined HPC as Executive Managing Director in May 2022, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the power industry having worked in both merchant as well as in contracted environments.

Prior to his new role in HPC, he has served as Regional Director for Middle East and Africa for Marubeni Power Asset Management based in Abu Dhabi. He also has worked as General Manager of Generation in Switzerland for Alstom Power where he was responsible for a global fleet of CCGT plants around the globe. He has worked in consultancy and construction of different power generation technologies moving later to operational roles in facilities in Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East being Plant Manager and General Manager in different facilities.

Carlos Alcazar holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering by Polytechnic University in Madrid and a Master Degree in Business and Administration by IE Business School.

She has more than 18 years of experience in accounting & finance field & most of it is directly or indirectly with the power industry.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a professional degree in Cost Accounting
